Welcome to The Antiquarto, where you will find topics of history, genealogy, collecting, and the arts. I look forward to posting news of my personal and professional activities and to sharing news on books and articles, lectures, events, travels, colleagues and friends, and other items of interest.
I am fortunate to work in a field that is endlessly fascinating. I have served as President & CEO of the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS), the nation's founding genealogical organization, for twelve years, a staff member for twenty-four years, and a member since 1985. In recent years, NEHGS has greatly expanded. Today, we serve more than 250,000 members around the world and host an award-winning online experience, www.AmericanAncestors.org with more than 1.4 billion records. In addition, we are seen by millions of television viewers weekly as the anchor location of "Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.," on PBS. Many of my posts will shed light on our activities at NEHGS as well as my personal interests in collecting, gardening, and travel.
I hope you will enjoy The Antiquarto! Please subscribe for free.
